Visitors From Cyseal – Weapons
Visitors from Cyseal is a collection of mods that add objects and NPCs imported from Divinity: Original Sin 1.
This module, Weapons, adds a large variety of weapons in every category – including shields – to both Story and GM Mode.
- All equipment pieces have been given a new set of Mask textures and, when relevant, recolorable Glowmaps. This allows them to be recolored using the three color channels.
- All equipment pieces have been given new Physical Map textures, which define the way light sources interact with them, allowing them to fit better with DOS2’s artstyle.
- Certain weapon models were oversized or not rigged correctly, making it not match DOS2’s animation system and artstyle. These have been adjusted and fixed when necessary.
- Equipment appears in the regular loot tables, meaning that they can be spawned in merchant inventories and by Lucky Charm.
- Equipment can be spawned in GM mode using the merchant inventory generators.
- For all of the weapons that were altered or fixed, the originals are available in GM mode as separate items. This includes many Staff models with alternate grips that have been changed into two-handed maces or spears. These are labelled as "Quarterstaff"s or "Staff-Spear"s.
- The item generator uses the standard loot table, so you can generate the new weapons off of it.
- Just for fun, the three wand models have been scaled up to staff size and are available as "wandstaff"s.
One new item is added to the game: The Mortar Bomb! Mortar Bombs do high fire damage, and have a huge radius. However, they have a shorter throwing range than other grenades and don’t inflict Burning on enemies (though they do ignite surfaces).
Mortar Bombs will spawn wherever Nailbomb Grenades can be found, appearing throughout the game in merchant inventories with a chance to be find via Lucky Charm. They cannot be crafted; this will be implemented in a later update.
This mod overrides ItemProgressionVisuals, which means it won’t be compatible with other mods that add new weapons to the spawn tables. If you have multiple mods that do this, whichever one is loaded last will override the others.
This mod should be compatible with existing saves, though it will not refresh merchant inventories. Merchant inventories are determined the first time you speak with them and are refreshed every time you level up. Containers you’ve already searched cannot trigger Lucky Charm, but ones you haven’t checked can, and will spawn items from this mod.
