USS Audie Murphy [DD-501]
FICTIONAL
The USS Audie Murphy is a lead ship of Murphy class destroyers, modified from Fletcher class. The first one was built in 1941, and the last one was finished in 1951 as they were pretty efficent, there are over 70 of Murphy class, 10 lost.
in 1965 the USS Audie Murphy was scrapped. 5 ships passed a modification and were serving till the 1991 (coming soon(?)).
It features:
-5x 120mm naval guns
-3x 50cal AA turrets
-4x Oerlikon 20mm autocannons
-16x depth charges
-1x Quad torpedo launcher
It’s maximum speed is under 20 knots, and having a good turn rate comparing to size. It also has a working rangefinder, to operate it come at the room below the bridge (where in the future i will add more stuff).
It is one of my best warships i ever made, it is not understized as my Colorado (which looks smaller than this destroyer).
