How much of a race is it, really, when there is a rift in every province? You can’t block the AI, and they can’t block you, unless you happen to cross paths in the same realm. You are basically just "racing" through the realms, but what about racing across the map?

This mod changes the rift spawns so that they occur in random provinces every time Ursun roars. Each rift now only has a 30% chance of opening during every roar. Sometimes they are spread out. Sometimes they are all concentrated on one side of the map.

I’ve found this does three things:
1. It becomes a literal race to the rifts, which may be several provinces away.
2. You are rewarded for expanding again, as the more territory you control, the higher chance your enemies will have to come through your territory to access a rift.
3. It takes pressure off the actual race (a little bit). On VH, it seems only about half the AI factions even get to enter the realms every roar.

Open to balance suggestions. 10% chance of opening was definitely too low, and 50% was definitely too high, but 30% might be a tad high yet as well.

MCT support is planned. When that mod is ported to WH3 you’ll be able to pick your own % open chance for the rifts from the game menu.
