CD Class 680 "SuperCity Pendolino"
České dráhy Class 680 tilting EMU built by Alstom Ferroviaria after a Czech consortium that developed the type, based on the ETR 470, collapsed. Delivered in 2003 and introduced in 2004, the vehicles serve the SuperCity services between Prague and Košice and previously Prague – Vienna – Bratislava. The trains have a luxorious interior (2+1 even in 2nd class), but are expensive and have a low capacity.
The type has a design speed of 230 kph and a speed record of 237 kph, making it the fastest Czech train. To cut costs, the trains were only certified for 200kph. Each 7-car train set has 4 power cars for a total of 3920 kW.
Included in this mod are single and double formation as well as a variant with higher capacity (2+2 seating in 2nd Class). 334 PAX per train in the real configuration, 424 PAX with the 2+2.
