The Animal

The Animal is a Hyper-efficient Harrier attack craft. Designed specifically to hit all the right points at a 2.1 Million CPU cap to overtake the Tovera Dreadnought as a Non-quantum ship. The animal carefully balances Ideal Thruster type, placement, & balance to achieve the perfect thrust profile for it’s weapon weighting.

Featuring an extremely robust 45,000 hitpoint shield, I chose this shield configuration specifically for the ships task, taking on ships much larger than itself, anymore shield would incur significantly more power output and CPU, and any less wouldn’t do the job. This is the exact shield configuration needed to kill a Tovera Dreadnought as a non-quantum while preserving as much CPU as possible for it’s weapons package.

The Animal’s weapons package is Hyper-efficient, utilizing a combination of 16 Manual fire lasers, the most efficient anti shield weapon in the game, with 12 Colonist bolters, the most efficient anti-shield turret in the game, the Animal tears through shields while using a miniscule amount of CPU for the task, complemented by a dual-purpose, explosive and anti shield suite of plasma turrets, the ship has an ideal weapons package for its task. For Online play the Plasma turrets can be substituted for Missiles or Heavy missiles.

The Animal was built to be a non-quantum phenom, but what’s a Core-getter that isn’t built to use them? Upgradability is built into the animal and the ship has Symbol-Marked thruster expansion ports for an additional 2 UP thrusters, 2 Forward/backs, & 1 DOWN thruster, to maintain weighting and maneuverability all the way to 50+ Heavy Retractable turrets, this ship can be taken all the way to the end-game & is built to house a Fusion Core.

With room for all 8 Shield banks, and as many as 3 Arrays, the Animal can easily reach 200k Hitpoints of shield if desired. I Personally like this ship as a 1 Array- WEAPONS-HEAVY attack ship, in a 1 array configuration it can still reach 110-140k hitpoints w/ Regenerative/Bastion and equip, really, the largest weapons package the game allows, With over 50 fully-retractable turret positions, The Animal as a 10/10 will Equip All 24 Missile and Plasma Turrets + Cruise Missiles, watching it blow the entire back half of a nullifier off in a single Volley is really something to behold, many laughs were had weapons-testing this ship. It can accomodate enough shield to go nose-to-nose with a Dreadnought and blow its head off in sub-60 seconds as well, even using a single array Fast-recharge arrangement.

This ship is Art, If Art could launch 24 missiles and a barrage of Hot Plasma that melts your enemies before they can scream into the void of space. It’s a meticulously balanced piece of engineering that you’ll love to fly. Easy access and egress, out-of-your-chair drone launch and looting, beautiful flight statistics, and easy to understand & versatile upgrade paths. The Animal has all 48 Solar panels and will idle with SHIELDS ON at negative power usage, & It will cruise & explore Radar-on at nearly Zero power usage.

The Animal is not made for tanking, but was delicately and carefully explosion and damage tested, no chain reaction explosions in this girl. Despite being a mostly carbon bird, your components are wrapped and segregated by over 1000 mostly Combat steel armor blocks, and you have multi-decoy types encased in combat steel in your nose, to bring fire to the fore and away from delicate components, should your shield come down, like when your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cat jumps on the keyboard like mine did yesterday BAD F&%*$ing KITAY!
