The Boom-box is an All-purpose Attack-SV, Dive Bomber, and Torpedo-ship. Featuring a 100% unobstructed Internal cockpit view and Ear-slung bomb & torpedo mountings, the ship is made for hyper-accurate bomb and torpedo runs, but excels at all types of attack.
The ship has redundant and 4x independently armored and segregated Generator/fuel sections, as well as independently armored core and cpu storage, the ship can take a heavy hit, and even lose its entire main component section, and still fly away ( if you have thrusters :). The cockpit is also armored and vented independently to maintain airlock if you get nicked.
Featuring mountings for 16+ turrets & 18 Manual weapon mounts, the Boom-box can mount whatever you need it to, with ideal & unobstructed turret mounting points, including standing mounts that are ideal for Laser turret models.
With 2 x 6k Ammo controllers & 1 x 8k Harvest controller, the Boom-box does not want for storage space, and comes with a constructor on board to pop out a core or spot of fuel as needed. The ship features a drop-ship style internal cockpit & staging area, with passenger seats, medical, oxygen, and armor locker.
With a standard loadout of all 12 Manual lasers, 2 minigun turrets, and 4 bomb launchers, the Boom-box can burn the shield off of even a Tovera Dreadnought, and in its standard loadout will kill a Kamirat Battlecarrier without problem, it’ll also completely defang a sector command and just about any other POI in the game.
Your turret mountings are center-front weighted and so are your manuals, adding more weapons or turrets is simple and easy to understand, the boom-box was built for simplicity and ease of use, it is a performance High-G attack aircraft & a joy to fly and fight in. It requires no special parts, or upgrade kits, costs a fraction of the cost of a Core-9 CV, and can kill even more powerful enemies as a non-quantum than a Capital vessel can. This ship is a great option for getting CPU units to upgrade your CV, & for gathering drone parts in Drone space Orbits or planets.
