Description:

The mod requirement’s is absolutely not necessary, find any method that works for you!

(I’ve been asked if its possible to add an example compostion/mission. I cannot provide an example mission at this time sorry.)

Keep in mind, this work was me learning the arma 3 mod tools, so its rough and your missions may be affected in future updates to the assets, I will try to minimize this disruption.

I felt there was a niche missing in Arma that limits our creativity when mission making, especially with underground bunker themed levels. The solution I bring is Project CUT!

CUT is designed to provide a library of textures ported from Source Engine Games and Mods to use with User Texture Props for mission makers, artists, and more. Why specifically Source Engine you ask? With almost 3 decades of mods and games made using source, so too has a great deal of textures and content have been made!

You’re more than welcome to pick and choose textures to add to the mission file directly instead! Please credit CUT, but more importantly the game that texture game from.

How To Use:

To get texture paths, decompile the pbo files and browse the paa files with Texview 2.
To use textures that are transparent use User Texture Props that support translucency. (Transparent textures are partly see through soild colors, this is arma bug not texture bug.)

User Textures have no collisions, you need to source props like piers, vr blocks, etc to hide behind textures to create collisions.

Use "RVMAT_Baseusertexture.rvmat" to apply color correction if desired.
(Rvmats with normals are still in experimentation. Base rvmat by Alkanet)

Using User Textures from Polpox is preferable if you are doing screenshot art for an extra level of control.
Using the CUT Props are better for gameplay experience as User Textures in high volume are taxing on framerate.

(If future updates break textures, add _co for solid textures, add _ca for transparent textures at the end of the filename. Ex. RealWorldTextures2Ceilingceiling_01_co.paa)

Texture conversions are done by hand manually and is very time consuming, updates going forward will be in longer intervals, but with currently around 2500 textures there should be an amazing selection to choose at the moment.
