R-106 Gunboat
General Exposition:
This 30m full interior gunboat is based on the WW2 German R-Boot Patrol/Gunboats. She makes just over 17kn on 2 large diesel engines. She can serve many roles, from a mine-layer, anti submarine duties or being a normal gunboat. I made this ship to be very multiplayer friendly, even though it has a physics body warning I rarely dip under 62 tps on high physics quality even with 2 of these ships spawned.
Starting:
1) Enter the Engine Room located below decks in the middle of the ship
2) Flip Both Engine Starters to ON and throttle both Engine Throttles to 1
3) Venture to the helm and use W/S to engauge the clutches.
(Recommended: Throttle up the generator clutch in the engine room to 1, to generate power)
RDF (Radar) & Sonar:
Both are located in the Command Center under the helm.
The Sonar system uses new sonar, so it doubles as an active sonar and a hydrophone.
In order to use the Sonar make sure to turn on the Sonar Breaker located in the fore stowage room (on the actual sonar) and the terminal breaker located on the bottom of the console.
The Sonar will output target range and depth (with some inaccuracy thanks to noise and jitter) but only when pinging (IE active sonar)
The RDF system is very simple. The Top of the screen is the front of the ship, and the bottom the stern. Each red line on the screen is a detected target.
Weapons:
The ship is armed with 2 GZsH-223 20mm Autocannons (LAC) and 1 GZsH-372 37mm Autocannon (HAC).
In addition the ship is armed with 2 multipurpose rails on the stern which can carry either 10 (5 per rail) MK IX Depth Charges or 6 MK XXI (3 per rail) Sea Mines (neither are spawned on the ship, the user can decide wheither to have depth charges, mines or neither)
