Make Titan MPRL General-Purpose Again with Modern Rounds
Have you wondered why the Titan MPRL (multiple-purpose rocket launcher) have two SINGLE purpose variants?
Do you feel that the stock missiles ****, and the naming **** even more? Then this is the mod you’ve been looking for!
* Loads all four types of AA, AT, AP, and GP rounds
* Uses AA launcher model, slightly heavier than the AA variant (for balance)
* Based on AA 3D model and AT flight profile
* Straight, Top-down, and CRUISE (terrain-following) mode
* Locks on to AIR, ground and LASER targets (yes, with some laser dot tricks you can turn it into a cruise missile)
* 15 sec hypergolic liquid rocket motor (AT=5 sec)
* Maximum speed and maneouverability = AT missile, very slow, able to catch very slow movers but no slightly fast movers
* Hard to spoof with flare countermeasures for targeted aircrafts (missile is so slow that it have plenty of time for guidance DSP processing)
** If you’re targeted by this in the air, you can outrun it easily even in helicopter
* 150 weight (AT=AA=100, AP=60; very heavy, so you can’t pack mule this like PCML or AP; for balance and realism)
The new round is realistic because:
* The size&weight of the round is even larger than the AA model, so can be fitted with an AT-size warhead.
* It’s technically possible to combine continuous-rod with shaped charge to have an AA/AT dual-purpose warhead (and anti-personnel at the same time).
* The rocket motor sacrificed top speed and thrust for working time, plus using storable hypergolic liquid fuel, so we can get 10~15 sec.
* There are real-world ATGM sensors in 2022 that can lock on to helicopters and slow-moving fixed wings, and also visual/laser targets (this game is 2035!).
* It’s possible to add a new cruise program into the guidance section given the long motor burning time, and turn it into a nimble tomahawk.
