Description:
Clothing Overhaul

Welcome!

Well it took a year but here it is, or, the first version of it. My clothing overhaul mod. For a long time I have felt that Kenshi was great but lacked in the variety that was provided for a lot of the clothing. Why was every peasant, vagabond, outlaw, and rebel wearing the same tank top, wooden sandals, and grey cargo shorts? I wanted more diversity and variation in the daily life of the people that fill our world so I set out and made new clothes myself to implement them into the game world.

Although this is mostly a clothing overhaul I actually overhauled some other aspects of the game as well and may make more changes depending on feed back, for instance I populated towns and added a custom new faction to the game. (Read further if you want the details)

Whats Included?

For the first time this mod doesnt include anything new that I have made, rather, it implements several of my clothing mods into the game world and merged those mods into one. The mods included are, Farmers Bundle, City Bundle, Ronin, Swamp Bundle, Mushroom Bundle, and Fisher Folk. You shouldn’t need those installed if you have this mod. I have overhauled bits of the game world though and here whats included.

Clothing Integration
Civilian clothes added to many common drifters, peasants, farmers, outlaws, ect.

Each faction I tried to make feel unique in their own way by retaining some of their culture for example:
-Holy Nation peasants will avoid wearing bright colors usually and prefer drab or orange colors.
-United Cities peasants will have a wider variety of colors and clothes to choose from as well as hats since they live in the bright desert.
-Deadcat and other fishing location will have their people dressed with fishing packs and fishing rods.
-Swampers will wear swamp gear or be infected with a mushroom parasite.
– Rebel farmers, starving bandits, and vagrants will wear torn and dirty vests and shorts to show their lack of money and status
-Empire Nobles will wear official hats and different variations of noble clothes based on their status (may change in the future)

Populated Cities
Cities will now feel alive and bustling with the everyday common folk. No more major cities guarded by 100 Holy paladins or samurais for a group of 3 bar thugs. Civilians will walk around the town, purchase items, hang out in the bar, do their daily tasks and hopefully not get killed by some wild Skimmer.

Rebel Farmers Edited
Rebel farmers will now look like empire farmers. So it’ll be hard to tell if they’re friend or foe from a distance, they will also be using farming tools as their weapons rather than all the same one stick.

New Faction
In addition to clothing overhauls I added a new faction to the game called "Swamp Parasite" this faction only resides in the heart of the swamps and wetlands. They consist of infected hosts that have been completely taken control of by a brain eating mushroom parasite that feeds off their bodies for nutrients. They are usually weak, malnourished, and travel in small groups. If they happen to down you or come across you at an unfortunate time then they will add you to among their numbers infecting you with the mushroom parasite. Likewise, any poor swampers or gang members caught by these infected will join their number. This can cause a small squad to grow into a larger and much more dangerous one.

New Wanderer
Wandering Ronin’s can be seen on several parts of the map now. They are solo but with decent stats and as the name implies belong to no faction. (will try to make recruit-able in the future)

Stats and Obtaining
All items should follow my previous mods way of obtaining through research and then a work bench (clothing or weapons).

Lore Friendly

I have tried to keep everything I touched to be lore friendly or add a bit to the lore. I mentioned some already but overall it would be too much to add everything I edited. But dont worry Beep wont patrolling the cities in a telly tubbies costume.

Questions?

Q. What ref did you use?
A. mostly old asian art and photos

Q.Why isnt anyone else wearing these?
A. They should be? if they are not tell me!

If there’s any bugs let me know. PLEASE LET ME KNOW
