Chaos Emeralds
–THE CHAOS EMERALDS GET IN THE ZONE!–
Have you ever wanted to play as the seven Chaos Emeralds? No?… Well now you can!
Straight out of the Sonic the Hedgehog series, the emeralds boast a variety of attacks and references pulled straight from the Special Stages of the mainline games. Some of the emerald’s attacks apply momentum, such as Forward air, Up air and Forward Strong, which are great for pulling opponents with you and allowing for more combos.
Here is a quick description of the Chaos Emerald’s Specials:
NSPECIAL: Chaos Beam
The Emeralds Harness their own energy, blasting the entire screen! You can fly during this move however it will always fire in the direction you were facing when Chaos Beam was used. Be careful when using this move off stage, you likely won’t recover!
FSPECIAL: Super Dash
Straight out of Sonic Mania Super Dash is both a safe movement and attack option. When the emeralds swerve up there is a sweet spot, best to space this move well! It’s also quite useful for recovering and can allow the emeralds to stay in the air for an extended amount of time.
USPECIAL: Chaos Control
For this move the Emeralds teleport themselves in the direction of your choosing. This move actually has a sweet spot during startup, which will freeze the enemy for a short period of time. This is hard to land but can be followed up with almost any move.
DSPECIAL: Gaia Colossus
The Emeralds summon Gaia Colossus from Sonic Unleashed! This attack is invincible whilst the emeralds are inside. This attack is quite risky to use however when it lands it is devastating. The initial hitbox will pop the target up into the air, setting them up for the attack.
There are 21 Alts with more to come in the future! I also plan to keep balancing the character depending on community feedback as well as update with support for other workshop characters/stages!
