Description:

K-411 started out its life as a regular Yankee-Class Ballistic Missile Submarine (SSBN) in the Soviet navy, but was later converted to a carrier submarine for the smaller Special Mission Submarines like the X-Ray or the Losharik. For that purpose the characteristic missile battery behind the the sail was removed and replaced with a longer hull insert, that would allow the X-Ray to dock while submerged (see last two pictures). Although the X-Ray was a medium-sized submarine by itself, its actual interior was small compared to most conventional submarines, owing to its extreme operating depth of 1000m, severely limiting its endurance. For this reason it was almost always carried by the larger Yankee-class to its target, which kept hovering over it, while the X-Ray dived to the object of interest, which could be sea cables or a wreck.

Features:

K-411 "Orenburg" Yankee Stretch

-A/D for Ruder left/right
-W/S for manual depth ruder, keypad for Depthhold
-fill ballast tanks completely for diving
-surface navigation bridge in the sail with navigation lights and front spotlight
-lock access hatches for dive
-upper emergency hatch for docking with rescue submarines
-lower docking hatch for docking/accessing X-Ray midget submarine
Note: the real K-411 had all weapons removed after the conversion, the torpedos in the bow compartment are just decoration to fill space, so technically it was a non combatant/civillian vessel, that was not to be shot at

-A/D for Ruder left/right
-W/S for manual depth ruder, keypad for Depthhold

-Left/Right for horizontal thrusters
-magnetic access hatch in the sail to connect to the carrier submarine, make sure to close it before detaching the X- Ray (the second manual hatch is just to stand on while surfaced as a surface navigation bridge
-extandable skeggs to sit the submarine on the seabed
-extandable Arm with Mag All to pick up smaller objects from seabed
-downward/front spotlights
-front and rear diver lockout
