Quonset huts are small steel based prefabricated structures which originated in the USA in the WW2 era. They are quick and easy to construct, and require only 4.1 tons of steel to build. They were designed in 1941 by a team of engineers at Quonset Point Naval Air Station in Rhode Island, where they got their name. These huts are a great choice for early game construction colonies, military bases, remote arctic outposts, prison areas, and more! They can be packed together quite tightly to form efficient pop-up settlements.

I have enabled self-heating (wood burning stove) so that these can be used as temporary housing, but you can always build a heating plant if you prefer. There is also a mod with several skins. This is the smaller standard size of Quonset Hut (20×48 foot). There is also a larger size one that I may do later if people want.
