Backrooms Extended Edition – Rooms of Madness
Delve into a different layer of reality, just beyond our own. A complex of hallways and rooms that never seems to end and stretches in every direction to infinity.
Inspired by Lovecraftian works and the expanded idea of the Backrooms.
This mission is an extended version of my previous work.
Original mission: has only the base office layout, 3 endings, base sound effects.

This mission: two different layouts, 6 endings, 4 different types of NPCs, expanded sound effects, reworked visual effects, additional segment layouts, slightly optimized generation of the environment, bugfixes
The mission is a script showcase / proof-of-concept, and can be taxing for low-end PCs. It doesn’t have objectives or traditional aspects of a typical Arma mission. It’s an atmospheric experience, that is to give you ideas and spark your imagination, rather than anything else.
Mission features a variety of endings, depending on several factors. There is no right or wrong direction, or action. Discover and explore.
There are custom-made assets, sound effects, a variety of small secrets, and tiny details to discover. The environment around you is created using a combination of procedural generation and hand-crafted design, using several different methods. Thanks to this, the environment stretches to infinity in all directions, and changes based on player’s progression throughout the mission, or the direction they pick.
