L-568 Landing Craft

DESCRIPTION
The L-568 Landing Craft, Vehicle, Personnel, or LCVP for short, is a landing craft designed for the transport of troops and ground vehicles in littoral environments either between an Amphibious Assault Ship to a beachhead or from one side of river to another. The LCVP was developed for use by the Newquay Marine Corps to fill the need of providing beach assault capabilities for a light expeditionary force utilising the M308A1 Stoat Light Scout Vehicle, and the the M43A2 Coyote Armoured Assault Vehicle. The L-568 LCVP is designed to operate alongside other assets of the Newquay Armed Forces, such as the P-111 Drache and LCB-1 Amphibious Bridge, to deliver a fast and effective mechanised infantry force to an adversary’s shores, with the LCB-1 being used to carry the larger and heavier Ostauto MHTV 8×8’s and M1A0 Devastator Main Battle Tanks. What the L-568 lacks in armor it makes up for in manoeuvrability, with the ability to disable the steering limiters and pull off turns with a smaller turning radius than its own length, and two L97 Mod 1 General Purpose Machine Guns offer ample protection against small boats and enemy infantry.
