What is the Ki-212 Akabeko and it’s history?

During the 1950’s the Imperial Japanese Air Force is still relying on it’s propeller based bombers such as the Mitsubishi KI-67 and the Mitsubishi Q2M. Japan, realizing they are entering the jet age of the Cold War, sought to improve their technology. With the sightings of B-52 bombers, the Japanese were pretty anxious of the fact that bombers have integrated with a jet technology they thought are exclusive to light aircraft such as interceptors, fighters and close air support aircrafts.
