【A-histiorical】
The Type 1159 frigates are designed and developed by the Zelyonodorsk Design Bureau of the Soviet Union in the 1970s for export. Armed with 127 mm main guns, anti-aircraft missiles and anti-submarine rockets.
In the late 1980s, the Soviet Navy modified some of the Type 1159 destroyers. The modified version, known as Type 1159M, were given to Soviet border forces for maritime patrols.
VMF Ibis is the first ship of its class.
