The Don State Public Library (until 1992 — the Rostov State Scientific Library named after K. Marx) is the central library of the Rostov region, located in the city of Rostov-on-Don. The oldest book depository in the south of Russia, was founded in 1886. The largest library in the Rostov region and among the central libraries of the subjects of the Russian Federation. Its funds number more than five million copies.
