The Book of Genesis is an active item that summons two familiars from a specific pool to fight for you until the end of the room. This can be especially useful versus bosses, as it can add a huge dps increase!
One familiar will always be Brother Bobby, Lil’ Loki, Little Steven, Incubus, or Cube of Meat. The other will be Sister Maggy, Lil’ Gurdy, Sissy Longlegs, Succubus, or Ball of Bandages.
