当发现人民海军建造巨大的003型战列舰后，米帝决定建造一型具有彻底压倒性优势的超级战列舰，以展示其“昭昭天命”所在。搭载巨大的6座联装609.6mm（24吋）主炮总计12门，拥有强大的152mm副炮及防空火力。

USS BB-74 Ohio was finished around the year 1960.
When US Navy discovered the gigantic battleship Type 003 built by PLAN, they decided to respond with a class of super battleship with overwhelming superiorities. Ohio Class super battleship was considered a sign of "Manifest Destiny".
Battleship Ohio, boasting her 24 inch huge cannon (609.6mm), was the lead ship of her class. She has the most powerful naval artillery ever designed by mankind. Her secondary battery consists many 6 inch (152mm) dual purpose turrets. Her anti air firepower was seen second to none of all the surface combatant ever built.
Her major operation was to put down The Second New York City Draft Riots. During Kenya War (equivalent of Vietnam War in our universe). Children from big wigs could easily dodge military service while ordinary families had to send their children to the frontline in Africa to suffer. Anti-war activists gathered in New York to protest against the war. Youngsters held banners condemning the authority while chanting the song Fortunate Son. US government deployed 2 army division and 1 marine corps division with their cavalry unit (tank and armored vehicle) spearheading into the city trying to control the situation but to no avail.
Finally, Battleship Ohio arrived and fired her 24 inch guns at protesters. Her salvo did immense damage to the city infrastructure, but the battleship rapidly and successfully dispersed the crowd and suppressed the riot.
US authority declined to comment on the casualties of the protesters.
