Description:

Who needs to cook when you have skulls?

Did you look at the cooking system and wonder, "this would be great for others"? Maybe you thought about how nice it’d be for the Halflings from OvN, or as a stand-in for the Pox Cauldron for Clan Pestilens?

Well, wait no more, because I did a version of it that I think literally no one asked for – Queek’s Trophy Rack!

With this mod, Queek Headtaker has a chance to take the head of any enemy killed in battle, and use those collected skulls to create a trophy rack that inspires fear in his own clan, and dismays enemies in combat.

This mod is a submission for the C&C Modding Den’s[discord.com] Mod Jam, "The Grim and The Goof". Team Grim here.

Known Issues

This mod is unfortunately slightly half-baked, since the Mod Jam is a timed event and I didn’t finish everything by the deadline! There will be a few updates, likely this week, that will fully flesh out this mod to what I wanted it to be.

You’ll notice missing effects, some missing UX and UI, and other small details. Will be finishing that up post-Jam!

Future Updates

This mod is very much not done. Missing almost all the flavour text, a bunch of actual effects (most of the heads do nothing!), some fixing up on the UI.

One big update I want to do beyond all that, is remove access to a head once it’s been "spent" on a trophy rack. This’ll result in a more fun balance, imo, where you have to keep earning more heads to present a trophy rack, instead of having infinite heads. There’s a way to do it, but it’ll be a bit of a behemoth to write.

ALL the art in this mod was made by Zazie1986, an incredible artist. I added the text to the mod image, no big deal don’t @ me about it.

Thanks to Fen for originally coming up with the idea of some funner Headtaking mechanic and being cool with me thieving it for this project!

Big thanks to the C&C Modding Den users for humoring me with the Mod Jam event. It was a pleasure!
