Tarantul class
The 12411 "Tarantul" class missile boat is a large offshore missile boat developed by the former Soviet Union/Russia in the late 1970s. As the only global navy outside the United States, the former Soviet Union, while developing various types of large and medium-sized surface ships, also attached great importance to the development of small ships such as missile ships, and considered them an indispensable part of the overall combat strength of the navy. Therefore, as early as the 1950s, hundreds of missile boats with various models and different performances were developed for use. In addition to a large number of equipment in Russia, nearly 100 missile boats were exported to other countries in the world.
