M110H Pallbearer Towed Mortar
DESCRIPTION
The M110H Pallbearer Towed Mortar is a mobile Mortar in use by the Newquay Army and Marines to assist in indirect fire of infantry & static targets. It is similar to the Ballista in which it can be used in both the direct & indirect fire role, however is more well suited for indirect salvos. It can be transported/air-lifted by all Newquay vehicles equipped for the task. It comes with a 4 round HE ready-rack as well as a single AT-2 Ammunition Trailer providing an additional 66 rounds of HE ammunition. Thanks to its reliability and ease-of-use, the M110 was affectionately known by its users as "Mildred".
HOW TO USE:
To aim and fire:
– Manually aim the mortar in the general direction of where you want to fire, to do this, pick up the rear electric connector and swivel the mortar.
– Press MASTER ARM on the side panel.
– Enter your co-ordinates into the TARGET GPS keypad, target altitude in TARGET Z.
– The mortar will automatically find the correct ballistic calculation, then press OPEN BREECH
– Load a round, press OPEN BREECH again & then press FIRE
To use JTAC:
– Press JTAC LINKUP
– Put in your selected frequency in JTAC FREQUENCY
– Use a Newquay vehicle capable of transmitting JTAC coordinates, make sure that vehicle is transmitting on the same frequency.
– When ready, use the aim & fire instructions.
