Description:

The Harrier fighter adopts a single-seater swept-wing aerodynamic layout and is equipped with a turbofan engine. It is the world’s first practical vertical/short-range take-off and landing fighter, which can carry missiles, bombs, rockets and cannons and other weapons. Mainly carry out maritime patrol, fleet air defense, attacking maritime targets, reconnaissance and anti-submarine tasks.
Harrier fighter jets were developed by Hawker Aircraft Company and Bristol Aero Engine Company. It flew for the first time on August 31, 1966. It was officially named in 1967. It began to be equipped with troops in April 1969. It is mainly divided into Harrier series and "Sea Harrier". The U.S. has imported the "Sea Harrier" series from the United Kingdom. The improved version is called the AV-8B, and it served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
