F / A-18 fighter attack aircraft is the third generation supersonic jet fighter of the U.S. Navy.
The F / A-18 fighter attack aircraft adopts a single seat / tandem double seat swept wing aerodynamic layout and is equipped with two turbofan engines. It is a multi-purpose shipborne fighter. It is the first model of the U.S. military with the identity of fighter and attack aircraft, and has excellent air, ground and sea attack capabilities. As the most important carrier based aircraft of the US Navy, it has a wide range of uses. It can be used not only for maritime air defense, but also for ground attack.
The F / A-18 fighter attack aircraft was developed by McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing). The prototype first flew on June 9, 1974 and entered the U.S. Navy in 1983
