Afraid of Dark [Stealth Level]
Hat Kid doesn’t do well when it’s dark. Her imagination of monsters gets in her way. She invented Glowing Bits that can be placed inside a Lamp to create light source without needing generator. One night the Time Piece hit the house and now she has to solve the puzzle in order to get what she wants. Time Piece is on top of the chandelier and she must light up all the lamps in order for the chandelier to go down. However, she is not alone anymore and it’s time to put sneaky shoes on as monsters are there to stop her.
[About the Level]
Afraid of Dark is a Stealth Level where player must search the rooms, Dreamspaces for Glowing Bits. The more Glowing Bits are placed inside the lamps the lower the chandelier will go. There are mini puzzles in the way that need to be solved to gain Glowing Bits. There will be Vanessas in the rooms that will chase the player if not being careful enough. Hide to advance or quickly get away from Vanessa. There are letters that provide info or tell little story.
[Known Issues]
If player is on high spot the Vanessa will keep triggering Hat Kid’s Running animation so the animations bugs out until the player moves away from her sight range.
Some static meshes are overlapping with each other or straight out flying in the air a bit.
In the cage room the buttons are burried under the floor. (That’s so it can trigger the "uncage" event properly)
Very little ambience for the level or Vanessas being too silent, nothing like in the Manor Level Subcon Forest. (I haven’t found logical solutions to trigger those sounds when she is nearby the player. There were attempts but they didn’t work out so i left them as they were by default)
Sometimes when hiding the camera gets in the uncomfortable position.
