Description:

This is not an environmental mod, don’t spawn it in as such.

VERY IMPORTANT

This ship includes BOTH modded and unmodded versions, choose either or in the custom missions menu. I urge you to give the modded version a try, I spent a lot of time modelling all the custom parts in blender. Custom parts DO NOT interact with your stock Stormworks files IN ANY WAY they only add additional parts for you to choose from. Feel free to use them in your own creations.

Instructions on how to install the modded parts is here-

Again, these parts DO NOT modify any of your Stormworks files, just add several new parts.

DESCRIPTION

Spawns at Large Oil Rig

INCREDIBLY UNSTABLE IN HIGH WINDS

SS City of New York was a British built passenger liner of the Inman Line that was designed to be the largest and fastest liner on the Atlantic. When she entered service in August 1888, she was the first twin screw express liner and while she did not achieve the westbound Blue Riband, she ultimately held the eastbound record from August 1892 to May 1893 at a speed of 20.11 knots. In February 1893, the Inman Line was merged into the American Line. The renamed New York continued with the American Line until 1920 and was broken for scrap in 1923

START UP PROCEDURE

To start the engines make your way down to the boiler room via the aft stairwell, a crew door will be on either side of the lowest landing where you can continue making your way down, a ladder will take you all the way down to the orlop deck and the fireman’s passage into the boiler room. Hit the light boiler and start engine button on each of the boilers. Make your way back up to the bridge and engage the clutch and engine telegraphs to move forward.

This ship also utilizes my Simulated Crew system. Use the Chart in the Chart room(Under the bridge) to map multiple waypoints. To make a waypoint just click on the map were you want to go, to delete just click it again. You can have as many waypoints as you want just keep into consideration the turning capabilities of the vessel and try to make the waypoints at least 250m apart from each other to avoid difficulties. Once you have mapped where you want to go click the "Call Bridge" button next to the map and a simulated Helmsman will take control of the ship and automatically navigate through each of your waypoints! Bear in mind the engine telegraphs still need to be operated by you.
