Hong Kong Tramways 香港電車 – 6th Generation Tram (2.5D)
These trams are drawn in 2.5D!
Hong Kong Tramways is one of the few double-deck tram systems in the world. With its tall and narrow vehicles, I thought it would be an ideal candidate for an experiment of using 2.5D to render vehicles in-game. Let me know what you think!
These specific trams were originally built in the post-WW2 period before being rebuilt in the late 1980s. This mod adds the trams in their post rebuild state, which I have seen referred to as the 6th generation.
In this mod you’ll find 2 types: Generic and Wrapped.
Generic trams are the default green base with recolourable decal panels where advertisements are commonly found.
Wrapped trams are a fully recolourable body with several recolourable decals of many different designs to simulate advertising wraps. For best results, I suggest selecting wildly different colours for each vehicle.
Both types have the same stats.
Statistics (Note: All values besides Max Speed and Capacity are guessed):
Max Speed: 50 km/h
Capacity: 115
Mass: 12,500 kg
Power: 100 kw
Price: $3,000,000
Maintenance Cost: $20 per day
Running Cost: $0.05 per km per pax
If anyone’s interested, this was drawn with a perspective of 4px/metre diagonally for its height.
