Merrick’s Oscar II (Sweden-Norway)
Oscar II was the last king of Sweden-Norway, his motto "The Welfare of the Brothers People" was his recognition of the difficulties in union between the two countries. He made extra effort to learn norwegian and play an active role in ruling both countries, not just Sweden. His rule oversaw a period of industrialization and rapid technological progress. He was a respected figure in international politics and was chosen to arbitrate in international questions.
A strong supporter of the navy and would often make visits to his naval ships. He wrote his own lyrical and narrative poems, a collection that would come to be known as ‘Memorials of the Swedish Fleet.’
A fan and sponsor of the arts and sciences, he published his own works and opening institutions. He founded the world’s first Open Air Museum.
This mod adds a leader for both Norway and Sweden, just as Eleanor can be played as either France or England.

- Cities with either a Harbor, Theatre Square, or Campus District receive +1 Amenity and +2 Loyalty; this bonus is doubled if the city has all three districts.

Memorials of the Swedish Fleet
- Tries to build up Science and Production. Likes Civilizations who do the same. Dislikes Civilizations those who don’t.
