Dwarf ranged weapons small tweaks
These are my personal tweaks to ranged weapons of the dawi
I use these tweaks in my games, they are not mandatory to play my mods but blend with them well. They are not perfectly balanced, but rather my preference.
Generally, I felt the anti large artillery didn’t make enough damage. I tried to correct that.
I played with the projectiles and shrapnels, changed some of them and implemented others.
- Shrapnels
The grudge thrower and drakegun torpedo now have shrapnel at impact. They improve the visuals and do some damage when they hit somebody (not that much though). - Throwing axes
All dwarf throwing axes now debuff missile parrying with shields for a few seconds. - Engineer’s arquebuss
It is a bit more accurate now. - Bolt-Thrower and cannon
Double damage and bonus anti-Large to be more efficient against large targets. - Trollhammer torpedo
Many small tweaks to improve it. Lower reload time, bonus anti large, small range increase, can damage vehicles and buildings. - Flame cannon
After playing a lot with it, I finally reversed all changes to keep it close to vanilla. I only improved the penetration of the projectile. See my RoR unit for more experimental projectile. - Organ gun
Double damage for it, to stay on par with the bolt-thrower and cannon.
