The Palatina Guard
This here is my very first CK2 Mod so feel free to rip into me so i can learn how to improve both this mod and any future mods i make!
Here i present to you the Varangian Guard of the HRE (sort of).
I along with the help of a new friend from the Paradox Forums (shout out to Rags17 for basically making this dream happen) created a decision that allows the Holy Roman Empire/Francia/Latin Empire to create the "Palatina Guard". The "historical" bodyguards of Charlemagne, composed of the greatest Christian warriors and chevaliers from all across Christendom.
The decision to form the Palatina Guard is only available until 1000 A.D. After which Catholic players will have at their disposal Holy Orders. This somewhat mirrors the real life Twelve Peers of Charlemagne who were only relevant for so long until the rise of Holy Orders like the Knights Templar. But do not fret, after you’ve founded The Palatina Guard you can have them past 1000 A.D. until the end of the game.

Now with new interesting Events and Decisions surrounding the Palatina Guard. Rulers should be keep an eye on who their Lord Palatine is.
