Description:

This mod adds in 13 new hero classes & a new type of Embassy to Freestyle & Northern Expansion quests (does not work for Original Quests). Some of these you may have seen if you’ve played some of my custom quests, others are brand new.

Compatibility With More Buildings Mod

This mod is not compatible with the More Buildings mod. I have created a separate mod that includes both More Buildings and More Heroes that can be found here.

IMPORTANT – BEFORE YOU PLAY WITH THIS MOD

This mod introduces custom guilds which utilize existing building displays for when you click the building. Because these displays are not editable, if you click a completed custom building, then click the "Spells" button, the game will crash. This is an unavoidable crash as the game tries to access a list of spells that does not exist. So please do not click the "Spells" button. (All other buttons for each custom guild should work, though).

New Heroes And Guilds Added By This Mod:

(available for Level 2+ palace)

  1. Dark Paladin’s Domain – Guild
    • Dark Paladin – Hero – Strong Paladin that renounced Dauros and now fights using dark arts.
    • Has no regard for allies; powerful AoE spells can hit anyone nearby.
  2. Mother Agrela’s Conservatory – Guild
    • Cultist Healer – Hero – Cultist that has a mix of Agrela/Fervus spells.
    • Can charm animals and also heal allies.
  3. Necromancer’s Abode – Guild
    • Necromancer – Hero – Sorcerer that casts undead and dark magic spells.
    • Can summon undead followers to aid in battle.
  4. Temple of the Flame – Guild
    • Fire Witch – Hero – Pyromaniac sorceress who casts powerful spells once leveled up.
    • All spells are fire-based, including some custom spells.
  5. Temple of the Green – Guild
    • Wild Monk – Hero – Monk that has a mix of Dauros/Fervus spells.
    • Can charm animals, fights using traditional monk attacks.
  6. Lightning Lord’s Shrine – Guild
    • Lightning Lord – Hero – Melee fighter that uses Lightning-based spells in combat.
    • Has powerful Chain Lightning spell at higher levels that devastates large groups of enemies.
  7. Dragoncaller’s Sanctuary – Guild
    • Dragoncaller – Hero – Strong melee fighter that worships a Dragon god.
    • Can summon dragon allies to aid in battle.
  8. Cryptozoologist Enclosure – Embassy
    • Summons random monster allies to join your forces for a price.
    • Can recruit any type of monster (max 15 per enclosure).
    • Functions similarly to the Embassy, but for monsters.
  9. Assassin Hideout – Guild
    • Assassin – Hero – Strong but fragile ranged attacker that can hit targets from long range.
    • Has stealth ability to sneak up on or away from enemies.
  10. Angelic Gateway – Guild
    • Spirit Shrine – Required Building – You must construct 3 Spirit Shrines to enable building of Angelic Gateways (Bug: currently the gateway will be enabled after completing an additional building of any type once you have 3 Spirit Shrines completed)
    • Fallen Angel – Hero – Extremely strong being from another dimension
    • Casts powerful spells to pair with high health and combat prowess
  11. Tavern – Guild
    • Minstrel – Hero – Support hero that buffs allies and boosts morale on the battlefield.
    • Will follow and support most hero types
    • Buffs can affect all nearby friendly heroes
  12. Labyrinth – Guild
    • Shapeshifter – Hero – Mysterious creature that can transform into any living thing.
    • Will transform in combat based on nearby heroes and monster
    • Absorbs their chosen form’s stats, spells, abilities, etc.
    • Transformation is temporary and will revert to base form after a period
    • Inspired by idea from: Beans O’Clock
    • Yes, the original form of the Shapeshifter is supposed to look like that!
  13. Mystic’s Keep – Guild
    • Mystic – Hero – Magical heroes that learn random spells at birth
    • Learns 3 random spells from pool of all base game spells (including boss monsters)
    • Each Mystic learns different set of spells
  14. Time Sphere – Guild
    • Timewalker – Hero – Powerful being of unknown origin that can bend space and time
    • Can freeze nearby enemies and warp space to damage them
    • At high levels can summon random allies from other dimensions

How To Play With This Mod Enabled:
  1. Click the "Subscribe" button.
  2. The mod should automatically download, but if it does not, go to Library -> Downloads, and find "Majesty Gold HD – Workshop Content". Click the icon next to the file and select to download immediately.
  3. Once you have downloaded it, launch Majesty Gold HD.
  4. When you are at the main screen, select "Change Mods" in the lower lefthand part of the screen.
  5. Choose "More Heroes" from the left pane under Available and click the "Add" button.
  6. You should see "More Heroes" appear in the right pane under Active. Click "OK".
  7. You are now good to go! Enter into a Freestyle or Northern Expansion quest and enjoy!
  8. Note that you can click "Deactivate Mods" to disable all mods, or "Remove" to disable a specific mod.

Notes:
  • This mod is intended to be used by itself and may not be compatible with other mods or custom quests; use with other mods or custom quests at your own risk.
  • This mod does NOT work on Original Quests (it simply won’t activate). This is because several Northern Expansion buildings/spells are referenced in the code, and thus the game would crash if it was used for an Original Quest.
  • I have not tested this mod on all Freestyle/Northern Expansion Quests, so there could be bugs depending on what you are playing, but in theory it should work for all quests. Please report any issues you experience in the discussion thread or comment section.
  • You need to have a Level 2 or higher palace in order for these custom guilds to be buildable, similar to the way the other temples work. Other than that, there are no restrictions for building these new guilds besides the Angelic Gateway.
  • Using this mod for existing quests may cause balance issues for the quest (IE: it might make it too easy).
  • There are display issues for custom heroes/buildings, where the names may get cut off/clipped from the building name or recruit buttons. This is unavoidable and as such there is nothing I can do to change it, unfortunately.
  • Some guilds, when clicked on, will have a hero portrait of a Dwarf – unfortunately I cannot edit this so that it looks like the actual character portrait.
  • The Cryptozoologist Enclosure will show blank "hero" portraits as you recruit monsters, and if you click the "Heroes" list they will appear there as un-named units. It also will have "open/close embassy" buttons as I had to utilize that building display to make it work.
  • The Assassin Hideout will have an "Extort" button – this is because I used the Rogues Guild building display.
  • The Angelic Gateway will become available to build after you have finished constructing at least 3 Spirit Shrines and then complete one more additional building of any type.
  • Many of the icons will be blank or missing – these cannot be edited, unfortunately.
  • These custom heroes use the existing voicelines/sounds of whatever hero portrait was used.
  • Yes, the original form of the Shapeshifter is supposed to look like that!
