AEW | 2040 North African Campaign
In late 2040, the New Altis Army joins a western coalition to drive CSAT out from a small North African nation.

Despite the misleading title (which I honestly didn’t think about), this is not an actual campaign but a mod
For ayone looking to find people to play AEW with
This is a mini expansion to After East Wind. You’ll need it to use this mod.
In this alternate timeline, the Agón insurgency back on Altis is dealt a significant blow in late 2039, and files are made public that CSAT has been funding the insurgency to destabilize the region. In early 2040, Altian public opinion has shifted significantly towards pro-NATO.
As CSAT deals with international scandal after another, individual nations across the globe start to dissent towards the alliance. One such nation in turmoil is the Republic of Aurèsia, which is a small landlocked nation bordering Algeria and Tunisia. As locals organize into armed rebellious groups, NATO, now stronger as the west experiences a new economic boom, launches a multi-national coalition to drive the weakened CSAT out of the region.
The New Altis Republic government votes to send a single battalion with the expeditionary force, both to give CSAT payback and to grow better relations with NATO, despite the move stirring controversy back home. During the operation, NAA expeditionary force make contact and clash with CSAT Kujita regiment.
This mod includes ALPAT uniforms in the Arid pattern, which have been reworked to actually blend in with desert environments (ALPAT arid will be removed from the main mod). It also adds the Mora IFV in NAA colours.
For CSAT, it adds the recon and light fatigues in desert hex colours (same colours as vanilla CSAT pilot outfit), and the protector helmet in black. Aurèsian security forces also come with a set of uniforms.
There are four mini factions included.
By 2040 the New Altis Army has grown larger in both men and materiel, and increased stability back home has allowed the army to send a single battalion sized force to join NATO in the North African campaign. The force is made up of companies from the 1st mechanized infantry battalion, 2nd motorized infantry battalion, and armoured elements.
Force Hades, the Altis special force, operates separately of the main force. Along with striking key targets, they are conducting important field testing of the export version on the Livonian Promet rifle family. As the Mk20 rifles are nearing the end of their service life, the NAA is looking to upgrade their rifles to 6.5 mm. Force Hades findings of the rifles performance will have significant impact on if the new rifle will be the Promet, the MX, or something else.
Made up of middle eastern men from former French mandate territories, the Kujita regiment is better equipped than Scimitar, but not as well as the Iranian Griffin of the Chinese CSAT forces. They are armed mostly with Chinese weapons. Since Kujita has made a wide variety of missions along with Scimitar and other African CSAT formations, their operating language is French.
Modelled after French gendarmés as a legacy of their colonial past, the ASF is the primary law enforcement force in Aurèsia. They are loyal to the regime and in support of CSAT presence. As violence and dissent is spreading, the ASF is cracking down hard on crime and their counter terrorist units are actively working together with CSAT to bring down all rebels.
ASF is an OPFOR faction
While it is the most well organized armed uprising against CSAT in the region, the UBF lack solidified leadership, and their demands vary. Some wish to simply drive CSAT out of Aurèsia, but others want to topple the secular regime, establish new Islamic caliphate and unite all north African countries under it.
Even though NATO uses their uprising as casus belli, the UBF do not welcome the west as liberators, and more often than not are openly hostile to them.
UBF is an independent faction, intended to be hostile to both BLUFOR and OPFOR
