Leon, The Prideful Pugilist, is here to find and destroy any opponents in Rivals of Aether. As a short range, but mobile brawler, Leon wants to get in his opponents face and then cave it in. Use his multitude of mobility and combo tools to form a strong approach and combo game.

Nspecial: Noble Roar
——————————————————–

Noble Roar is Leon’s signature move. On it’s own, it’s simply a small shockwave that deals minimal damage and knockback. But upon the aura coming out, Leon will begin to crackle with energy. While Leon has this electrical aura, his next special move will be empowered to become a different, more powerful version. Performing Noble Roar also cause Leon to take 5% recoil damage.

Fspecial: Lunging Strike

Lunging strike is forward moving armored approach tool that transitions into a combo-able uppercut upon Leon making contact with an opponent. This move can also be used in mid-air without going into pratfall.

Dspecial: Meteor Kick

Meteor Kick is another one of Leon’s approaching tools. This attack launches Leon forward on the ground, and diagonally down in the air. This attack has a Precision Strike on the first few frames, dealing much more damage and knockback than the later active frames.

Uspecial: Soaring Slice

Soaring Slice is a fast and reliable combo ender/reversal. This attack can be steered left and right while active. Soaring Slice has a Precision Strike on the first few frames, which turns the attack into a two part attack for more damage.

Unique Mechanic: Noble Roar Specials

After using Noble Roar, Leon’s next special attack will be enhanced, the enhanced moves are:

Nspecial: Ki Fist
——————————————————–

Ki fist is Leon’s only projecile. This attack can be delayed by holding down the special button. It can also be aimed left and right while charging.

Fspecial: Eruption
——————————————————–

Eruption is a 3 hit armored lunging launcher that has high vertical knockback. good for scoring off the top KOs.

Dspecial: Thunder Kick

Thunder Kick is a multi-hit lunging kick that that travels straight ahead on the ground and in the air. the last strike leaves the opponent in extended hitstun, allowing for follow ups.

Uspecial: Gale Strike

Gale is a multi-hit soaring uppercut that carries the opponent high into the air. Good for scoring off the top KOs and closing combos.

Unique Mechanic: Precision Strikes

Several of Leon’s attacks take on different properties when properly spaced or timed.

Bair
——————————————————–

Leon’s bair is capable of spiking the opponent downwards when only the tip of his foot hits them.

Dair
——————————————————–

Leon’s dair is capable of spiking the opponent downwards when he hits them with the earliest hitbox at the start of the attack.

Dash attack

Leon’s dash attack deals more damage and knockback when he hits them with only tips of his claws.

Dspecial

Leon’s Dspecial deals more damage and knockback (as well as spiking for the aerial version) when he hits them with the earliest hitbox at the start of the attack.

Uspecial

Leon’s Uspecial has an additonal hitbox at the start of the attack that adds more damage to the attack and turns it into a 2 hit combo.

Ustrong

Leon’s Ustrong deals more damage and knockback when he hits them with only his fist.

Leon’s proportions and several attacks were made with reference to Renamon from Digimon Battle Spirit 2.
