Cloala
Cloala from Creatures of Aether makes its fighting game debut as a character in the Rivals of Aether workshop! Based on Jigglypuff’s playstyle from the Super Smash Bros. series as well as its appearance in CoA, Cloala is a floaty character that can pack a punch with its Sleep and Upperhand abilities!

Specials

nSpecial: Yawn: Cloala creates a cloud that puts enemies to sleep when they touch it. Once an enemy’s asleep, you can set up a stronger attack or combo. Using Yawn while a cloud is active has it float towards Cloala, and can even start orbiting Cloala with the right momentum.

dSpecial: Rest: Cloala goes to sleep. If Cloala is touching its Cloud from Yawn, then Cloala heals some temporary damage. Be careful though, because this forms a crystal within the cloud that your opponents can break to put the damage back onto Cloala. There’s also a small hitbox on this move, which you can make stronger by charging the move up. Oh, and you can press the Parry button to cancel Rest while it’s charging.

fSpecial: Cloala Bomber: Cloala suspends itself in midair, then throws itself forwards, dealing damage to enemies it makes contact with. You can charge this to deal more damage, and it’s jump-cancelable on hit.

uSpecial: Eucalyptus Jump: Cloala suspends itself in midair on a branch, then leaps in any of the 8 directions of your choice. The branch gets sent as a projectile in the opposite direction you aim.
Upperhand Ability
Cloala has 7 cards at the start of a match. If you use a strong in the air and it connects, Cloala uses an Upperhand version of a directional aerial, that deals more damage and knockback, and removes all of Cloala’s cards. Cloala regains cards by sleeping, and by putting enemies to sleep. Cloala also can lose a card each time it gets hit by a move that deals enough knockback, so be careful at high percents!
