Ever been tired that you have to follow a faith, even if your character is a non-believer? This mod is made for you!
From now on, you can change your religion through a decision, to Atheism.
This new faith simulates Atheism, in a way to remove any possible benefits and disadvantage and game mechanic related to religion.
It does add a nice challenge, as being an atheist during this period was a good reason to be burned as a heretic.
It does not provide much bonus if you compare to be faithful.

This mod also allows AI to convert to Atheism under specific circumstance. See below for more details.

  • A new Faith in its own relgion group, Atheism
  • A new decision to convert your character to Atheism
  • A new game rule to fine-tune how often the IA will convert to Atheism

Game Rule

AI Atheism Conversion

  • No Conversion: AI will never convert to Atheism.
  • Rarely Convert: Every month, if all criteria are met, there is a chance of 1% that the AI will convert to Atheism.
  • May Convert: Every month, if all criteria are met, there is 10% of chance that the AI will convert to Atheism.
  • Often Convert: If all criteria are met, the AI will convert to Atheism.

Criteria for AI to convert to Atheism

  • Is landed
  • Is not at war
  • Highest title is Duchy or less
  • Is a sinner
  • Have less than 20 stress
  • Have 100 or less piety
  • Have one of these traits:
    • Cynical
    • Brave
    • Fickle
    • Honest
    • Lunatic
    • Any bad intellect trait
    • Dull
    • Incapable
    • Excommunicated
  • Does not have one of these traits:
    • Zealous
    • Craven
    • Shy
    • Paranoid
    • Deceitful
    • Any religion/faith related traits
    • Any unique traits
    • Reincarnation
