Description:

This mod modifies the Startpos of the main campaign : It will therefore not work in an on-going campaign and may conflict with other mods modifying the Startpos.

So, I was wandering aimlessly through the unit tables and I realized that the Romans actually had some units meant to be used as mercenaries, namely :

– Auxiliary Comitatenses Spears
– Auxiliary Legio
– Auxiliary Palatina
– Auxiliary Funditores
– Auxiliary Sagitarii
– Auxiliary Contarii
– Auxiliary Equites Dalmatae
– Auxillary Onager

While I’m still not quite sure if they were supposed to be faction-locked mercenaries or standard regional mercenaries, CA made it look like they were simple regional mercenaries so I took a little bit of time to add them back into the game in the simplest way possible (I’m really not sure if CA took them off because of gameplay/balance reasons or if it’s a simple massive oversight, especially since the Auxillary Onager actually has a post-mercenary-onager-nerf upkeep)

So yeah, tl;dr, it is now possible for every faction to recruit those 8 units when inside "original" Roman territory.
