Mallow’s Shoes And Socks

I love playing dress-up with my pawns, but I was sad they were going barefoot all the time. And so, influenced by River’s Tribal Shoes, I made this mod! It adds seven pairs of shoes and four pairs of socks, and one pair of shoes and socks for children.

If your colonists cannot equip shoes or socks, try this mod.

All shoes offer a +10% boost in movement speed except Royal Shoes, which offer -10%, and Neolithic shoes, which offer a +5% boost.

Neolithic

Clogs: Simple, wooden shoes. They’re quite sturdy, but they don’t offer much insulation. They’re great for pacifist or vegan tribals!

Felt Boots: Extremely warm boots that can only be made from wool. However, they take quite a while to make.

Kid Shoes (only active with Biotech): A comfy, simple to make, and easy to wear pair of shoes for little ones.

Medieval

Riding Boots: Leather, lace-up boots designed to be worn in the saddle. They offer a +15% animal tame and train chance. Unlocked with Complex Clothing.

Royal Shoes (only active with Royalty): Solid gold shoes for high royalty. Expensive to make and guaranteed to inflate egos. Unlocked with Royal Apparel.

Dress Shoes (only active with Royalty): Fancy shoes for balls and parties. They give a +15% social impact increase. Unlocked with Noble Apparel.

Industrial

Work Boots: Hardy boots with a steel cap that offer a lot of protection. Great for field work or combat. Unlocked with Flak Armour.

School Shoes: Prim little shoes fastened with a strap and buckle. Often worn as part of children’s school uniforms, though may also be worn by adults. Unlocked with Complex Clothing.

All socks are available at Neolithic level and all socks (except footwraps) increase comfort by +10%.

Footwraps: A simple sheet of fabric cut in half and wrapped around the feet. Footwraps are much more durable than socks, and give slightly better insulation, but aren’t as comfortable.

Summer Socks: Light and breathable socks. They are thin enough to be worn comfortably in even the hottest of temperatures.

Winter Socks: Thick and cosy socks that keep the feet warm and snug in even the coldest of temperatures.

Stockings: Long socks that extend over the knee. They’re effective at both cold and heat insulation, but don’t specialise in either.

Kid Socks (only active with Biotech): A pair of small socks for children. They are suitable for any age, and are comfortable in any weather.
