Description:

The Varangian Guard, Τάγμα τῶν Βαραγγῶν (Tágma tōn Varángōn) in Greek
was an elite unit of the Byzantine Army from the tenth to the fourteenth century. The members served as personal bodyguards to the Byzantine Emperors. The Varangian Guard was known for being primarily composed of recruits from northern Europe.

Here in this mod, we revisit History: Several centuries before, the Eastern Roman Empire have started to recruit those fierce warriors. Each major city and even smaller colonies have Varangian Guard regiments in charge of the defense.
Later on in the game, you’ll be able to recruit them with level 4 buildings.

The mod is designed to be played with the Eastern Roman Empire in the grand campaign.
Varangian guards are very strong, perfect for defending in the early stages of the campaign, they are the backbone of a non stop turtling action campaign!
