Aleksei’s Black & White Hun Roster Tweaks
This mod does small changes to Black Hun and White Hun rosters to achieve more historical results. It also tweaks Black Hun spawn script to reduce spam of armies Huns can have. Mod is based on Gothic Units for the Black Huns by PMarricks. His mod is outdated and causes major bugs by removing all Slavic and Garamantian units from custom battle and campaign. I fixed those bugs and did some balance tweaking. Credit for mod idea and base goes to him.
Details of unit changes
Black Huns:
– Removed Uar Warriors, Uar Archers and Chosen Uar Warriors from their roster and spawn script. Historically they were part of white Huns.
– Added Gothic Warband and Gothic Archers into Black Hun roster and spawn script. Historically Black Huns used significant amount of Gothic troops from tribes that they conquered.
White Huns:
– Removed Avar Horde and Acatziri Raiders from White Hun roster. These units represent people that were not part of tribal confederation of White Huns. These units now exist only in Nomandic and Black Hun rosters as they historically should.
– Removed Unnigarde, First Wave Lancers and Nokkors from White Hun roster. Removed them to differentiate White and Black Hun rosters and emphasize more infantry heavy fighting style of White Huns to compared to Black Huns.
– Added Steppe Bows to White Hun roster. White Huns had only 1 foot archer in Uar archers. Now they have generic tier 0 foot archer unit.
Details of Black Hun spawning script changes
As we all know Black Huns have spawning script that spawns them free armies. I tweaked spawning table to reduce amount of armies in early game and kept amount in late game closer to vanilla levels ( still slightly reduced). Reason for this is to let other factions solidify their positions little before Hunnic pressure grows greatly. Historically Huns started to harass ERE around 408.

I also dropped number of times Attila can get wounded by player before becoming mortal from 2 to 1.
Please give feedback for these changes. These numbers are higher than in PMarricks mod but slightly lower than in vanilla.
