Freya Crescent
Freya from Final Fantasy IX finally lands in Rivals of Aether!
Assault your foes from above using powerful aerial attacks.
(TLDR: hit people from above to charge gauge to upgrade Dspecial. You can cancel stuff on hit into Nspecial.)
Nspecial- Elusive Jump:
Jumps backwards really far. Hitting other specials or the sweetspots of aerials lets you cancel into this move.
This lets you chain high knockback moves together or quickly retreat back to ledge after edgeguarding.
Fspecial- Mirage Rush:
After a needlessly long animation, dash forward really far.
It does a ton of damage/knockback to anyone you collide with.
Uspecial- Fang and Claw:
Swing upward and do a weak hit.
Hold down the special button to do a strong dive attack afterwards.
You will probably die if you miss the 2nd hit off ledge.
Dspecial- High Jump:
Jump really high then fall down, pulling anyone you come into contact with downwards.
If you hit someone on the way down off ledge, a platform will spawn for you to land on (daora moment).
If you miss, you won’t get a platform and you just die.
Passive- Reis’s Blessing:
Hit enemies from above or with specials to charge your dragon gauge.
If you hit a sourspot or hit aerials from below, the gauge goes down.
If you fill the gauge, dspecial will upgrade to stardiver. It’s slightly stronger, but much faster.
Taunt in training mode for more details on what counts for cancels and gauge bonuses.
