[H-BBO] Health-Based Blood Overlays
Hello, GModders! I’ve missed you.
I’m back again with what may be my final Addon. This Addon is particularily special, because it marks my first collaboration with another Workshop Creator. That person, is Zippy. He’s known for his clever .LUA coding, and producing user-friendly Addons with a high standard of quality.
He’s developed some of my favorite Addons available, including the Enhanced Blood Splatter System & Zippy’s Gore Mod. I recommend paring those Addons with this one.
Alright, let’s get to it! This Addon adds a major feature to the combat of Garry’s Mod. With [H-BBO]: Players, NPCs, & Ragdolls will now display progressively intensifying blood decals on their bodies. The intensity of the blood increases based entirely on the health of the NPC/Player. It’s been designed to be mostly universal, and can both detect & apply specific blood colors for each individual model. The texture patterns are randomly selected from a set of 6 each time they are applied, so you won’t have the exact same blood overlays on every character. [H-BBO] also detects specific damage types, such as explosions, and will apply an additional overlay of scorches & burns to the body. This addon also corrects a long-standing Source Engine issue, and impact decals on ragdolls no longer fade or disappear when a dynamic light is pointed at them. Support has been added for VJ Base NPCs, as well as NextBots.
It can be heavy on performance. However, we have added a diverse Options menu that will allow you to customize the addon to your liking. This includes options such as Render Distance, Render Method, Cleanup Current Overlays, & more!
