Description:
Overview:

Adds two Automatic Lighting Presets:
One sets the lighting to Red if it’s night and normal if it’s day.
The other additionally sets blue lighting if below a certain depth (default 9 meters).

Save game compatible.

Like other lighting presets this can only be changed by officers. The new presets will only show if an officer is selected.

By default the chosen automatic preset will reset whenever you load a save game.
The two options to deal with this are using the Settings detailed below or using:

Settings File

Settings
  • Auto White-Red-Blue Starts Enabled (Default: False)
If true, when loading a save game Auto White-Red-Blue starts turned on.
  • Auto White-Red Starts Enabled (Default: False)
If true, When loading a save game Auto White-Red starts turned on.
If both of the above settings are true White-Red-Blue will take precedence.
Note:

If the Save/Load sub-mod is installed and a saved setting exists, it will take precedence over settings above.

  • Use Single Action (Default: False)
Use Single Action combines the two settings into one action to take up less space. When in manual it changes to White-Red, when in White-Red it changes to White-Red-Blue, when in White-Red-Blue it changes to White-Red.
  • Blue Only when Alarmed (Default: False)
When true, Silent mode only activates when the alarm is active.
  • Alarm Disables Autoswitch (Default: True)
When true, this disables automatic switching while the alarm is active, automatic switching resumes when alarm is turned off.
If both this and Blue Only when Alarmed are set to True, White-Red mode will be disabled during alarm but White-Red-Blue mode will not.
  • Autoswitch Acts as Preset (Default: True)
When true, changing to any of the normal white, red, or blue presets turns automatic mode off.
  • Blue Swap Depth (Default: 9)
Depth below which slient running (blue light) turns on.

Once you customized settings I recommend making a copy of AutoSubLightSettings.xlsx. This file is overwritten with updates, so you can refer to your backup to restore your settings after updates.

F.A.Q.

Q: How does the mod tell if it’s day or night?
A: It doesn’t. The game already does that, the mod just asks the game if it’s day or night.
