Description:

TWW2 is no longer getting patches or DLC, so my mods are also considered final and will not receive any more updates. Therefore I disabled comments on all of them to avoid constantly getting notifications for the same dumb questions that have been answered a thousand times already. Any comments or announcements I might make in the future will be posted under my collection here:

Disables autoresolve under certain conditions that are configurable by the player; every option can separately be enabled or disabled for maximum customization
-if your faction leader (LL) is involved in the battle
-if the attacking and defending forces are similar in strength (close battle)
-if the battle is at a major settlement
-if an AI Legendary Lord is involved in the battle

Using the Mod Configuration Tool, the options can be enabled/disabled and the threshold set how close attackers and defenders have to be in strength for the battle to be considered close. Army strength is measured by the custom battle cost of the involved units.

By default the option for major settlements is not active, and a battle is considered close if the stronger side is less than 20% stronger than the weaker one.

In the pre-battle panel the autoresolve button will be unresponsive if the conditions are met. By hovering with the mouse over certain parts of the panel, you can see the reason(s) for autoresolve being unavailable as a tooltip text.

Fighting all battles becomes tedious by the late game, so the player is tempted to just autoresolve everything. On the other hand, completely disabling autoresolve forces many very boring battles on the player. With this mod you can force yourself to always fight some battles while still being able to autoresolve many others.

Also, some army compositions are strong in autoresolve but not actually so strong in manual battle, and being forced to sometimes fight manually can help you to not cheese the game with crap armies optimized for autoresolve.

You may still be tempted to just disable the restrictions via the MCT during the campaign so you can once again autoresolve a battle you shouldn’t, acccording to your predefined rules. For that there is the option "lock settings" that has to be enabled by opening the MCT before starting a campaign, from the Main Menu.

Conversely, if you enabled that option in the Main Menu and start a campaign, the settings will be locked and you cannot change them during that campaign. You can still completely disable the mod though and load a savegame – the autoresolve constraints will then have disappeared (meaning the mod is savegame compatible).

Compatible with everything that doesn’t also manipulate the autoresolve button.
