ABOUT
This was first created in late 2014, it was originally supposed to be a huge sunny city map, but over the years it shifted towards a war-torn city. Now it’s a map where the player is placed in a huge city that’s under attack by the Combine. The development of this map took 4 years because I never actively worked on the map for more than a month.
FEATURES
- No game is required! All the files are packed right into the map!
- Map Areas:
- 11 enterable buildings!
- About 75% of the buildings that aren’t physically enterable will teleport the player to the rooftop and the other 25% of the buildings have a combine lock that plays a sound when the user interacts with it!
- Includes a gas station, multiple parking lots, garages, helipad, and many other places!
- Alleyways that got around the whole map and between the buildings!
- Spawn room with 9 teleporters!
- The map is fully AI noded! Including the spawn room & the rooftops!
- Polluted & dystopian environment including falling ash from the sky!
- Utility poles that go around the map to every single building and have a main electricity station!
- Attention to Small Details:
- Dynamic sounds are placed everywhere, making the map feel different in each area, whether outside or inside!
- No room or street is empty! Debris & objects have been placed everywhere! Whether it’s a vehicle or a small bottle
- Most of the objects in the map are physical props or destructible!
- Decals, particles and effects are placed all over the city to add details to the map!
- Weapons, ammo crates, and health kits are placed all over the map!
- 3D Skybox!
- Cubemaps have been placed everywhere, inside and outside!
- Comes with a neat spawnicon!
- 4 eastereggs! (Two of them contain a gnome!)
