The long requested Legendary Lords Remastered mod is here. I would like to thank all my subscribers for encouraging me to do this, it has been a hugely fun creative challenge. Legendary Lord traits and skills have been given useful refinements for a more dynamic campaign experience. The goal here is to make the lords even more unique and specialized in accordance to lore.

🔹 Kemmler can now raise more types of undead as befits a master necromancer.
🔹 Archaon will deter infighting between hordes in his province.
🔹 Azhag gains experience at twice the usual rate when he wears the Crown of Sorcery.
🔹 Volkmar can recruit his secretive Witch Hunters in any friendly province.
🔹 If Vlad is present in the province, you can sire even more powerful Vampire Lords.
🔹 The Fay Enchantress can cast spells from multiple lores of magic.
🔹 Gelt is now truly the Lord of Metal with two brand new high-impact spells.
🔹 Grimgor gains bonuses to fightiness if you start wars with several factions at once.
🔹 …and more! [docs.google.com]

Most faction leaders will be able to recruit more elite versions of their most iconic units. Some LLs are able to recruit closely associated heroes in friendly territories. All spellcasters have access to a few staple spells within their lore. All LLs start with certain skills already acquired to reflect on their backgrounds. Picking one starting LL over another no longer confers a unique faction bonus; these bonuses are now innate in every LL’s trait. In other words, picking Volkmar at the start means you won’t miss out on Franz’s upkeep reductions to Greatswords and Reiksguard for the rest of the campaign. You now get these bonuses by simply having Franz join your cause.

ALL of the remastered traits are available to the AI and their advantages will be used against you. This fully preservers the balance of power and the difficulty curve, but you could argue it’s a double edged sword: while you get more useful legendary lords, so do your enemies.

Compatible with the vast majority of mods on the workshop, including large overhauls like Steel Faith/Radious. While this mod can be combined with mods that also adjusts LL traits and skills, this will often result in a mishmash of my and their effects. If you wish to use both mods at the same time you will need to contact that mod’s author as I cannot do anything about how they’ve designed their mod. Recommended for new campaigns and should not be turned off mid-campaign.

NOTICE REGARDING WH2 SEQUEL: I’m greatly honored by all the requests for a WH2 version but it is unlikely to happen. The mod’s scope and variables would effectively double and in turn require twice as much time and energy to maintain and balance. Not to mention that I still want to provide regular updates, tech-support for users and listen to feedback. I won’t say never ever and I’m keeping all my design notes. But for now you’re invited to check out my other WH2 modding projects instead.
