Named in honor of the defensive ground forces (which causes confusion on paperwork), the Red Guard was created as a stopgap design for use until problems with the Medusa’s ambitious pressurized suspendium system could be corrected. Lacking in altitude and firepower, it was only produced in limited numbers.
