Description:

Developed on the basis of a plant for an experimental T-80Y tank in KB-3 of the Kirov Plant with an installation of dynamic protection. An experimental batch in the subsequent machine production in Kharkov in December 1983 to December 1985 with the Kontakt-1 DZ (one was preserved in Kubinka). Adopted by the Armed Forces of the USSR on November 27, 1984.
