Description:

It’s Avalon Hill’s iconic solitaire mission simulator, B-17 Queen of the Skies

The rules manual can be found here, at Scribd

You’ll find many of the items are locked to accidentally prevent flipping things everywhere – just mouse-over and hit “L” to unlock and position them.

Where multiple items are needed, unlock the item (using "L"), mouse-over and press "Ctrl + C" (including for Mac) and then "Ctrl + V" where you want the new items.

Dispensing with many of the bland original counters, I’ve added some of the more colourful counters supplied by Felipe Santamaria at https://boardgamegeek.com/filepage/85472/new-counter-english

For those who want to make video logs of their missions like:

myself https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xxvoS-amG4 and

Stuka Joe https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ulu6DBUUXJI

I’ve included my flak, explosions, oil and fire counters, aerial recon photos etc. to use when you’re making your screenshots. Remember you can adjust the size of anything by mouse-hovering and hitting “Ctrl + +” or “Ctrl + -“ And also to hit “G” or whatever you’ve mapped to hide the GUI when you’re screen-shotting. In this mode, though, you may need to mouse click once in order to pick something new up. Or just hit “G” or whatever again.

The pix for the enemy fighters I made sourcing images from the web.

The map boards I made using Google Earth and most of them have ocean on the backs for those channel shootouts. For the purists, I’ve included the original scan too.

The Strategic Movement Map is double sided as well with Kunto Kinte’s
B17 Old Map on the back from https://boardgamegeek.com/filepage/110251/b-17qots-dramatic-map-v1

And for those who’d like a more historical, less casualty-ridden experience, I’ve also included Ian Cooper’s charts from Beery’s Historical B-17 module at https://boardgamegeek.com/filepage/116918/beerys-historical-b-17-module

As for the original charts I scanned from my copy, most will unlock and flip (hit “F”) to show another side.

For Mission Log Sheets etc., you can hit Boardgame Geek where there are variants and other downloadable goodies https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/1032/b-17-queen-skies
