specifically, in addition to the three new crops and changes to grow durations and active seasons:
You can turn plant growths (fruit and leaves) into potash for fertilizer (included in the unextended version)
You can hull tree nuts to get their edible seeds.
You can mash beans and nuts into paste, which can then be pressed to get nut milk which can make cheese.
You can thresh bean pods and grain seedheads to get a large quantity of seeds, or brew or grind the seedhead directly.
You can extract seeds from fruits, so that you can plant them without having to eat them raw when they aren’t normally brewable.
